Historian J. Michael Morrison (center) answers a few more questions from Dan Cosgrove and Jim Gasho following his talk about Rediscovering Devon.
Morrison's talk focused on the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. He spoke about finding old pictures and clippings in a barn on the property, piled in boxes, with no archival protection. After Morrison and others spent an entire summer sorting through and putting into acid-free, archival storage as many of the photos and clippings as they could salvage, the Devon board decided to take the items back. The board again put them in non-archival storage, much to the disappointment of Morrison and other historians. In addition to his talk, he shared interesting  photos of the early days of the horse show and fair.
