Rotarians from our club, headed up by our Rotary Day of Service coordinator, Mac Neilon, including Joe Driscoll, Patty Jefferis, Melissa Baxter and Katie Martin, returned to the project C.U.R.E. warehouse at Dansko in West Grove recently.
This was the second time our club members helped out at the C.U.R.E. warehouse this year. Several helped out at the collaboration of the four area Rotary clubs in April.
C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment) is the world’s largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment and services to doctors and nurses serving the sick and dying in more than 135 countries. The life-saving items, medical equipment and supplies have gone to hospitals and clinics throughout the under-resourced world since 1987. Varied medical products were sorted and packed, including wound care products like bandages, wraps, and ointments, and syringes, feminine hygiene products, respiratory equipment and infant care products.
Thanks to Mac for arranging the photo of our volunteers, and thanks to our members for returning to C.U.R.E. to help again!
