The Rotary Club of West Chester recently donated $1,000 worth of school supplies to economically-disadvantaged students in the 16 schools in the West Chester Area School District (WCASD). Rotarians Mac Neilon (from left) and President Matt Holliday, joined caseworker Beata Starr, Anton Burrell, of Penn Office Products, Dr. Leigh Ann Ranieri, director of pupil services, Tricia Alston, social worker coordinator, and caseworkers Fran Laughlin, Shaynae Young, Collette McLaughlin, Maggie Nawn, Veronica Ortiz, Suzanne Simmons, Dr. Sara Missett, director of elementary education, and Dr. Jim Scanlon, Rotarian and WCASD superintendent, in checking over the supplies at the Spellman Education Center in Exton. Donations included pens, pencils, crayons, headphones, notebooks, flashcards, and more.

This year marks the 7th year that the Rotary Club of West Chester has donated supplies to the WCASD, and the 17th year that Neilon, from Penn Office Products, and chairman of this Rotary project, previously assisted with the project through other organizations.
