Our club finally received its award as the Best Non-profit Float in the 2024 Christmas Parade by the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s recent Christmas in July networking event at 9 Prime. Michelle Venema and Andrew Stump, float co-chairs, were there to receive the statuette, along with about a dozen club members, including outgoing club president, Catherine Friedman, and newly inducted president, Kyle Rheiner. Santa even popped in to express congratulations to the Rotary Club! The free Mingle Jingle was held on the second floor mezzanine at 9 Prime, and guests were urged to wear festive Christmas garb of red and green. Best dressed guests were awarded prizes. The Chamber put together what they called “the ultimate mid-year celebration,” complete with holiday décor and holiday food.
A bonus for attending was being selected for priority reservations in the upcoming 2025 West Chester Christmas Parade! By the way, Miranda Reilly has agreed to co-chair the 2025 Float committee for our club and is accepting volunteers – now!
