Some may think an after-the-holidays party is unusual, but in our Rotary Club’s view, it was a great decision! Instead of trying to squeeze in yet another holiday party in December, Mickey and Bob Hall, our gracious hosts, offered their lovely home for a January party, and it turned out great! About 64 partygoers, Rotarians and their spouses, girl and boyfriends, gathered for delicious appetizers and numerous yummy desserts at the Hall’s roomy and comfortable home.

In fact, there were so many desserts brought by Rotary members that the pool table in the basement was heavily laden with cookies, pies, cakes, and petit fours. All the yummy leftovers went to Safe Harbor Saturday morning for the residents who were stuck inside all day, due to the weather.

Partygoers started with tasty hors’doeuvres in the kitchen, then moved downstairs where comfortable lounges were located by the fireplace and TV, and into the adjacent room where the pool table, beautiful large bar, tables and additional comfortable seating invited partygoers to munch, sip and socialize.

Helping Mickey and Bob make sure everything ran smoothly were members of the Hospitality Committee, Patty Jefferis, Joanne Tadeo and Jeannie McGinn.

As always, Rotarians look for opportunities to socialize with each other. This party was no exception! Thanks to Anne Driscoll for catching photos of some of the partygoers.
