As part of Chester County History Center’s “Season of Lights,” our club added to the festive display with a “Rotary Around the World” decorated Christmas Tree.  We were invited to decorate a tree by one of our club members, Pachy Banks-Cabral, who also happens to be the development director at the History Center.

Never missing an opportunity to publicize Rotary, Rotary elves President Catherine Friedman, Phyllis Dunn, Sue Casso and Glen Sweet tackled this very easy project. Gathering up a couple of banners,  featuring hundreds of flags from around the world collected by visiting and traveling members, and creatively sewn into colorful banners by Glenda Brion, the foursome encircled a tree at the History Center. These are the same banners that we display on our booths at the Chili Cook-off, various festivals and events throughout the community. Sue also ordered a few Rotary ornaments, a Rotary Santa hat and added a Rotary blanket as a tree skirt.

Thanks to Pachy for thinking of Rotary, and to her staff for photographing our festive holiday tree!
