Rotarians from our club, headed up by our Rotary Day of Service coordinator, Mac Neilon, included Jeff Cantwell, Katie Martin, Phil McFadden, Steve Bayles, Melissa Baxter, and new member, Mark Lucas.
C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment) is the world’s largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment and services to doctors and nurses serving the sick and dying in more than 135 countries. The life-saving items, medical equipment and supplies have gone to hospitals and clinics throughout the under-resourced world since 1987. Varied medical products were sorted and packed, including wound care products like bandages, wraps, and ointments, and syringes, feminine hygiene products, respiratory equipment and infant care products.
This was the first collaboration the clubs hope to launch quarterly. Not only was this a time of service but an opportunity for fellowship among Rotarians of the four clubs.
