As we know, there are Rotary clubs all around the world. Sometimes we learn about them before we travel, and if the day and time work out, we may even plan to visit them.

Anne and Joe Driscoll, very active members of our West Chester club, unexpectantly came upon one of these other clubs. On their recent 10 day East Indies Cruise, their trip took them to Tortola, Puerto Rico, where they found a Welcome sign pole announcing the Rotary Club of Central Tortola.
The pole is located at the cruise dock welcome center in the capital city of Road Town, a social gathering area.  Nearby, there is a large poster with Rotary club photos and information, where the Driscolls learned the club meets two times a month at different venues in Tortola.

Also near the pole and informative club poster, is a second very large Rotary International poster showing Bill Gates, a generous American philanthropist, who has donated millions of dollars to Rotary to support one of our major international projects, to rid the world of polio. His hand sign was widely used by Rotarians worldwide near the beginning of the polio campaign in its early days.

Anne and Joe got more than they expected on their celebratory holiday and birthday celebrations cruise, and we thank them for sharing these interesting photos with us!
