Catherine Friedman turned over our club leadership to Kyle Rheiner at a gala induction that nearly blew us away! A significant storm, with rain, lightning and high winds hit the deck of the West Chester Golf and Country Club, where we hold our annual auction in conjunction with our presidential induction. Thankfully, the club staff hurriedly recovered our auction items that were blown around the deck, and repositioned them neatly on tables inside. It’s doubtful that any of the other 34,000 Rotary clubs around the world, holding inductions, had such a lively experience!
Newly elected District 7450 Governor Jan(ice) Biros conducted Kyle’s induction. She took off for the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada the next morning.

President Kyle joined our club in 2016 at the invitation of Mart Holiday, a fellow West Chester University (WCU) graduate, and past Rotary president. Kyle is a Certified Insurance Counselor, Agency Principal, and the Food and Beverage Practice Leader at Arthur Hall Insurance in West Chester. He has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with brewing and distilling craft beverages. Since 2013 he has become the trusted insurance advisor for over 150 craft beverage makers in the U.S., and is host of “The Beer Mighty Things” podcast.

Kyle graduated from WCU in 2006, where he met his wife Megan. Our club sponsored him in Leadership Chester County, and he is past resident of the WCU Alumni Association. A member of the Insurance Agents and Brokers (IA&B), a tri-state organization, he has been recognized as one of 35 “Young Guns” in the U.S. for insurance, and considered a “Niche Master” for the craft  beverage industry. He has authored numerous insurance magazine articles, and has been featured on the cover of Independent Agent and IA&B magazines. In 2023 he was named a Millennial Superstar – 40 Under 40 - by VISTA TODAY, and named Pennsylvania Insurance Agent of the Year by IA&B.

Kyle and Megan have two daughters, and he admits to being good at Wheel of Fortune. Although he is left-handed, he plays golf with his right hand! In addition to golf, in his free time he is a cyclist, Spartan Racer, building rappeller, Rugby player, fisherman, youth sports coach, and Rucker. (Rucker, in case you aren’t familiar with that term, means hiking with a backpack of weights in it.) So far he has hiked 26 miles with a 40 pound backpack! Guess that means he will be able to go the distance as our next club president, bringing new ideas and leadership to our club!
