The West Chester community has begun holding numerous events as spring arrives, and our Rotary Club has taken advantage of the opportunities to be visible, and show our support for the many organizations that sponsor the events. The 2026 Walk for Paws, a popular event sponsored by the Brandywine Valley SPCA (Society for the Protection and Care of Animals), was no exception!
John Schwab and Jeff Cantwell, always ready to set up our Rotary table and tent, manned our colorful booth from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. during the run, walk, and other activities held Saturday at West Goshen Community Park. Bob Frame, provided some assistance, accompanied by one of his five dogs, Snow.
President Kyle and his family, dressed in Rotary garb, wandered around the event site with their dog, Dottie, as they supported the event. Jeremy Rhoades and his new wife, Lucy, attended also, intending to run, but missed the 9 a.m. run start so joined the walkers at 10 a.m.
This event is just one of the many events the BVSPCA sponsors during the year to support the 27,000 animals they help each year.
